Valdir Azevedo
Valdir Azevedo or Waldir Azevedo (January 23, 1923 in Rio de Janeiro – September 21, 1980 in São Paulo) was a choro composer, conductor and performer, considered to be the most successful musician of this genre. Azevedo was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He played flute starting from the age of seven, and later switched to mandolin and to the cavaquinho. He first performed in public in 1933 at the Carnival, playing flute. He wrote 130 compositions during his lifetime, including the world-famous "Brasileirinho (song), Brasileirinho" and "Delicado (song), Delicado". He is considered by many to be the first Brazilian cavaquinho shred guitar, shredder ever. One of his compositions, "Delicado (song), Delicado," is a Latin American dance that has been arranged for piano. He died in São Paulo, aged 57. Valdir Henrique Barbosa da Silva (born 3 April 1998), known as Valdir, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a forward for the third-tier Austrian Regionalliga club VfB Hohenems. He previously played in Brazil for Coruripe, Decisão, Linense and Mariunese, and in Austria for SV Ried. Career Born in Maceió, Valdir played youth football for CSA before signing for Coruripe in December 2018, ahead of the 2019 season. He joined Decisão later in 2019 before a loan spell at Linense. He returned to Coruripe in 2020 before signing for Mariunese later that year. Valdir de Moraes Filho (born 15 March 1972), commonly known as Valdir Bigode, is a Brazilian former football manager and former player. A prolific striker, Valdir is the twelfth highest goalscorer of Vasco da Gama, with 135 goals in 267 matches, while also being a part of Atlético Mineiro history with 57 goals in 111 appearances. Playing career Club At club level, Peres was mainly known for his time with São Paulo. International At international level, Peres had his first match it was the second semi final match during the 1975 Copa América on 4 October 1975 against Peru, Brazil won the match with a score of 0-2. Peres capped in total 30 times for Brazil between October 1975 and July 1982; he was a member of the Brazil national team at the World Cup 1974, 1978 and 1982. He played five games at the 1982 World Cup. Coaching career In 2006, Peres was appointed as the Vitória-ES U-18 team manager during the Copa São Paulo de Juniores.
